Game's details

The title of the Love Letter game implies a bit of risk, simply due to its name alone. Yet the story gets even more interesting as soon as you dive into this unique game and the adventurous experience it offers players.

In a quick game of risk and deduction, can you outwit your friends and earn the trust of the noble Princess?

You must prove your worth and gain her trust by enlisting allies, friends, and family of the Princess to carry a letter of intent to her. Playing cards one at a time, players will use the abilities of these key people in the Princess’s life to outwit their opponents and successfully deliver their letter to gain her favor. Once a set number of favor tokens are acquired, that player will win and become the Princess’s confidant.

Love Letter is a fun game of deduction and risk, created for 2-4 players age 10 years and older, that involves just 16 cards. Each of the 16 cards features a character, such as the Guard, the Baron, the Queen, and so on, and each card character possesses its own special skill, offering different actions to take in your strategic mission. Each player starts with just one card in hand and plays that card to their best ability, recruiting allies, earning the trust of castle occupants, and getting help with the transport of the letter. Players earn favor tokens as they navigate their way through the other suitors’ advances in the game. The suitor with the most favor tokens at the end of the game wins the Princess’ heart and the honour of becoming her confidant.

The Love Letter Game is a wonderfully simple game with hardly any game pieces or setup required, and it’s very easily learned. Don’t let its simplicity fool you, however. Love Letter is a highly-entertaining game that offers depth and an extremely interesting game play, as players enjoy more of an “experience” than a board game competition. One round of the Love Letter game takes only around 20 minutes, enabling you to play more than once if you want to try again to get your letter to the Princess! Who will succeed in their mission? Will you win the Princess’ heart and in turn win access to the throne? Find out, in the Love Letter game.
